Get involved · Solidarity Fund
The Solidarity Fund is families helping each other: you pay in while all is well, so that funeral costs are already covered on the day they land. The board created the programme in 2013, after the centre had covered funerals for several families in the community.

The programme has one purpose: that a family facing a death has neither to raise money nor to chase paperwork in the hours that follow.
The fund steps in four ways:

Membership is by family. You pay once, for yourself and for your own, with no additional charge per person.
Two steps, and only the first asks you to write to us.
Write to us and we will send it, or collect it at the centre.
$200 per family, in a single payment, before 31 March.
Fees are deposited in an account reserved for the programme, separate from the centre's other operations.
Renewal is annual. The date to remember is 31 March.
Fees already paid are not refundable, including on withdrawal.
No. The contribution is offered even if the person died abroad, and it can be used to pay for repatriating the body.
No. A donation supports the centre's activities; a membership fee buys the programme's services, for you and for your family. If you are looking to give, the Donate page is there for that.
A year of cover runs from 1 January to 31 December. Write to us with the date you would like to join and we will tell you what applies in your case.

Write to us and we will send you the form. You can also read the programme in full before deciding: it is the document the board adopted, and it governs.
