Who we are
A place where you are expected
The Centre de développement socio-culturel Balimaya is a registered charity, founded in 2012, on rue Fullum in Montréal. We welcome people newly arrived in Québec, we stand alongside families, we celebrate diversity, and we support those going through a hard time.
CDS Balimaya is also home to Rahma Mosque, a place to meet and gather for people of the Muslim faith.

Balimaya
Bambara — the tie of kinship
“Balimaya” is a Bambara word. It means kinship — what binds a family together, and by extension a community. That is what we have been building here in Rosemont.
