Surah Al-baqara, verse 185
(These days are) the month of Ramadan in which the Quran was sent down as a guide for people, and clear evidence of right guidance and discernment. Therefore, whoever of you is present in this month, let him fast! And whoever is sick or on a journey, then let him fast an equal number of other days. -Allah wants ease for you, He does not want difficulty for you, so that you complete the number and proclaim the greatness of Allah for having guided you, and so that you may be grateful!
Al Bukhari and Muslim report Umar may Allah be pleased with him said: “The Prophet (SAW) prescribed for the zakat of breaking the fast a bushel of dates or barley, alms to which every Muslim, man or woman, child or adult, free or slave is required. »
During Ramadan, Muslims aim to grow spiritually and become closer to Allah and their loved ones. In essence, Ramadan serves as a time of spiritual reflection, purification, and personal growth for Muslims.
It is said that Prophet Mohammed once spoke, "When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of heaven are opened and the gates of hell are closed and the devils are chained."
The Prophet said, "Whoever fasted the month of Ramadan out of sincere Faith (i.e. belief) and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven
